THERAPY BASE

INTERNMENT CRITERIA

1. Patients presenting the admission ticket used in the health insurance system to the clinical specialty “Recovery, Physical Medicine and Balneology” are hospitalized.

2. Medical emergencies are diagnosed by specialized doctors within the unit, who present:

  1. degenerative rheumatic diseases (arthrosis);
  2. abarticular rheumatism (scapulo-humeral, coxo-femoral periarthritis);
  3. inflammatory rheumatic diseases (sero-negative spondyloarthropathies, rheumatoid arthritis);
  4. muscular disorders (myopathy, muscle dystrophy);
  5. neurological disorders (post-stroke sequelae, monoparasis / plegia, para paresis / plegis, tetra paresis / plegis).
  6. spinal cord disorder (herniated disc, scoliosis, cheilitis, torticolis, Schuermann’s disease, spondylodiscarthrosis);

or requiring:

  1. postoperative recovery (operative disc herniation, hip, knee, muscle, ligament, tendon);
  2. posttraumatic recovery (sprains, fractures);
  3. sports recovery (muscle breaks).

for which treatment cannot be monitored in outpatient or day-care.

Patients presenting an internment ticket for continuous hospitalization may be scheduled for admission, depending on the condition and severity of the signs and symptoms presented, and the availability of the required hospital unit services.
